How Graduation Alliance Uses Artificial Intelligence to Improve Student Support

Artificial intelligence in education is rapidly evolving, and Graduation Alliance is using it thoughtfully to support students and partners better. In this video, Charity Carney, Chief Technology Officer at Graduation Alliance, shares how we’re integrating AI in education to streamline processes, automate repetitive tasks, and empower our team to work more efficiently—without replacing the people who make our work meaningful. Our goal is to use AI tools for student success, improving speed, accuracy, and the overall experience for the learners and districts we serve.

One of the most impactful examples is our new AI transcript processing tool. Historically, reviewing a single transcript takes a human 15–20 minutes. With our custom artificial intelligence system, that same pre-evaluation takes about 92 seconds. This efficiency allows our team to build learning plans faster, accelerate enrollment, and help students start their coursework sooner—leading to stronger engagement and better student outcomes.

At Graduation Alliance, efficacy, efficiency, scale, and sustainability guide our approach. As we grow, we’re committed to maintaining exceptional service for both students and partners, and AI helps us do this at scale. Charity explains how human expertise and technology work together to enhance—not replace—the personalized support students rely on.
